Maroon and white are the traditional colors of the Army Dental Corps. Gold and white symbolize the two precious metals traditionally used by the dental profession. The El Paso Mountains and the pathway, El Paseo del Norte, are landmarks that denote the location of the unit. The lone star refers to Texas and the rayed disc and light blue skies allude to the sunny climate of Fort Bliss, the units home.
